Professional Key Leader Opportunity – Controller – Private Club
Our client, an established and highly-respected Country Club, is seeking experienced candidates to serve as Controller of a 950 member golf and country club. This professional position reports directly to the General Manager. This growth-oriented company is located in the suburbs of Detroit.
Key Responsibilities
Directing, summarizing, forecasting and reporting financial activities of the club.
Participating and contributing in monthly finance committee and Board meetings.
Directing and preparation of annual budgets.
Implementing and oversight of internal controls, trustee of club’s 401k plan, oversight of adherence to union contract, supervision and oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and human resources.
Managing club technology.

Orientation towards strategic and entrepreneurial thinking focused on building relationships and providing first class member service.
Desire to be intellectually challenged, especially regarding use of technology.
Highly articulate, personable, and collaborative in nature.
Comfortable in a small, country club environment.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field.
Minimum five-year management experience as a Controller.
C.P.A. or C.H.A.E. preferred.
Advanced user of accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven business acumen.
