Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist
Our client is looking for a curious, enthusiastic Search Engine Optimization Specialist to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be a great listener, able to understand a client’s business goals and map them to a winning Internet marketing strategy. All analysts are comfortable and excited to use data to tell stories, and are passionate about delivering results with real, measurable justification.
Responsibilities:
Candidates for this position will be expected to:
• Plan and execute a full spectrum of SEO activities for our clients, including keyword research, site audits, page- and site-level optimization, content strategy, linkbuilding strategy, competitive assessment and technical troubleshooting;
• Work with sales team to scope/estimate SEO engagements for prospective clients;
• Conduct training sessions on relevant topics in small group or classroom settings;
• Engage in thought leadership activities such as blogging, writing for industry journals, speaking a conferences, etc.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should be able to:
• Communicate complex SEO strategies to a wide range of stakeholders;
• Measure the success of SEO campaigns use of web analytics and SEO campaign management tools;
• Analyze large amounts of data from a variety of sources;
• Prepare executive-ready reporting of SEO campaign performance.
The ideal candidate will also possess:
• 3+ years of relevant SEO experience;
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, FLASH, AJAX, and CSS as they relate to SEO;
• Substantial experience with the web development process;
• Sound technical understanding of how search engines, web servers and user agents work;
• Comfort working with content management systems;
• Experience using SEO campaign management software (such as BrightEdge and SEOmoz, both of which we use for our clients);
• A track record of successful SEO program execution in both B2B and B2C settings, particularly with a lead generation focus;
• Up-to-date understanding of organic search trends, including search engine algorithm changes, the latest tools and technologies.
• Excellent presentation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
• A bachelors degree.
