Professional Key Leader Opportunity – Controller – Private Club

Our client, an established and highly-respected Country Club, is seeking experienced candidates to serve as Controller of a 950 member golf and country club. This professional position reports directly to the General Manager. This growth-oriented company is located in the suburbs of Detroit.

Key Responsibilities

 Directing, summarizing, forecasting and reporting financial activities of the club.
 Participating and contributing in monthly finance committee and Board meetings.
 Directing and preparation of annual budgets.
 Implementing and oversight of internal controls, trustee of club’s 401k plan, oversight of adherence to union contract, supervision and oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and human resources.
 Managing club technology.

 Desire to be intellectually challenged, especially regarding use of technology.
 Highly articulate, personable, and collaborative in nature.
 Comfortable in a small, country club environment.

Key Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field.
 Minimum five-year management experience as a Controller.
 C.P.A. or C.H.A.E. preferred.
 Advanced user of accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite.
 Proven business acumen.
